Which Graphic Design Category Do You Need?
There are 3 categories to choose from:
None - This category is for those who are reprinting a job with no changes or those familiar with graphic design, have the correct software and can provide files that are Print-Ready with no adjustments required on our part. Your files will be sent directly to print and any errors or issues caused by improper preparation will be your responsibility. Each side should be it's own separate file. See all guidelines below. No Proof will be provided.
Some - This category is for those who are reprinting a job with changes or those using various programs, mostly online, that help you get the look you are going for but don't give you the ability to ensure that all guidelines below are followed. We suggest submitting your files as a ,jpeg or .png making sure to leave plenty of room around the outside and we will do our best to get it print ready with as little modification as possible. Artwork provided with text, pictures or graphics that are too close to the edges will require a border, which we do not suggest or guarantee the accuracy of. An electronic Proof will be sent for your approval.
Full - This category is for those who would like for us to take care of the artwork for them. Send us your logo if you have one, preferably the vector or .png file, any pictures you want to include and any inspiration pieces for the design that you might have. We will take it from there and send you an electronic Proof for your approval.
Design Specs / Guidelines
Artboard: 3.625" x 2.125"
Actual Size: 3.5" x 2.0"
Safe Area: 3.25" x 1.75"
File Types: .PDF (Preferred), .JPEG, .PNG, .AI, .EPS
Color: CMYK color mode (If your file is submitted in RGB color mode, it will be converted to CMYK, however the colors may appear different when printed). Choose colors that contrast enough for all text to be clearly visible. Blues can appear purple if the percentage of Cyan is not 30% higher than Magenta.
Fonts: Convert text to outlines to avoid compatibility issues. Select fonts that are large enough and easy to read for your intended use.
Images: Use high quality images. Low quality images will result in blurry or pixelated prints. Do not use images that are copyrighted or you are not authorized to use.
Transparencies: Flatten all transparencies. In some cases it may be best to rasterize the file in order to avoid issues with printing.
Overprint: Do not set anything to overprint. In some cases it may be best to rasterize the file in order to avoid issues with printing.
Effects: If your product selection has Spot UV, Raised Spot UV, Foil, Raised Foil, etc... then you will be required to submit a secondary file to show where that effect will be placed. This file should only show where the effect is going in K=100% only. Effects are required to be in a vector based file such as .eps, ai, or a vector based .pdf.
NOTE: This is not an all inclusive list of things to consider when preparing a file for print. We have done our best to outline the most common issues and how to correct them. It is the responsibility of the designer to ensure the file is prepared properly.
